Dangriga, Hopkins and Placencia are located in Stann Creek. The journey from Belize City features The Hummingbird Highway, through the beautiful Maya Mountains and the Cockscomb Basin, bearing witness to Belize’s lush broadleaf tropical forests.
In addition, the Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve are located approx. 22 miles off the coast of Placencia.
A protected marine reserve in the central part of Belize’s Barrier Reef, it covers approximately 25,980 acres. The reserve contains some of the healthiest parts of the reef system due to its elevation and good water quality.
